We know that the Linear Module needs servo motor control in use as an automatic transmission component, so how to choose a servo motor control method that suits the needs of the current project. First of all, we know that there are three control methods of servo motors: torque, speed and position. These three control methods have certain differences, and they also have advantages and disadvantages in use.

How to choose the control method of the servo motor according to the needs of the Linear module:
The first situation: there is no requirement for the speed and orientation of the motor, only a constant torque is required to be output, and the torque form is very suitable;

The second situation: there are certain precision requirements for the orientation and speed, and it is not convenient to use the torque mode. You can use the speed or orientation mode first. The upper controller has a better closed-loop control function, and the speed control effect will be better;


How to choose the control method for the linear module?


The third situation: when there is a relatively high requirement for the dynamic performance in motion, it is necessary to adjust the motor in real time, and at the same time, the controller itself has a slow calculation speed, so it is controlled by the azimuth method. If the calculation speed of the controller is relatively fast, you can use the speed control method to move the azimuth ring from the driver to the controller to reduce the workload of the driver and improve power (such as most mid-to-high-end sports controllers).

We are already relatively clear about the use of servo motors for electric slides, and the three control methods are roughly introduced here. First of all, the torque control method is to set the output torque of the motor shaft through the input of the external analog quantity or the assignment of the direct address; the speed control is to control the rolling speed through the input of the analog quantity or the frequency of the pulse. ;Azimuth control mode generally determines the size of the rolling speed through the frequency of the external input pulse, and determines the rolling angle through the number of pulses.

Then, from the perspective of the response speed of the servo motor, under the torque control method, the calculation amount is the smallest, and the driver responds to the control signal the fastest; under the position control method, the calculation amount is the largest, and the driver's response to the control signal is the slowest. Another thing to mention is that both speed control and torque control are controlled by analog quantities, and position control is controlled by sending pulses.
